Thesis Title: ‘Power and Participation: Examining Approaches to Theological Dialogue in Multicultural Congregations’ (NTC)

Biography: Based on a lived experience as a female Mexican American pastor in the North American Evangelical Church, Karla Sanchez-Renfro is passionate to explore how evangelical multicultural congregations might develop modes of leadership and discipleship that include diverse people groups as equal participants.

With almost twenty years of experience discipling, leading, teaching, training, and caring for people and various teams and ministries within a diverse local church, Karla understands the nuanced ways theology is contextualized. Her ministry experience and love of the local church and gospel, compel her ongoing work of learning how individuals and communities can honor the importance, complexities, and practicalities of nurturing greater theological diversity and participation.
