Anthony J. Headley, Ph.D., Professor of Counseling at Asbury Theological Seminary.
Dr Headley spent several weeks in March 2008 working at the MWRC and John Rylands Library on research that has now been published as Family Crucible: The Influence of Family Dynamics in the Life and Ministry of John Wesley (2010). Professor Headley commented 'my time at the Manchester Wesley Research Centre and Rylands Library was invaluable. It provided me an opportunity for concentrated study as well as exposed me to valuable resources. The primary Wesley documents at Rylands were a tremendous addition to my studies. In fact, I found that my time there was too short to fully expose myself to these documents. I am hoping that I will be able to visit again in the near future.'
