MiJa finished her doctoral research in 2017 under the supervision of Dr Kent Brower. Her thesis examines Luke’s message of salvation and Luke’s soteriological concerns for the rich as well as the poor, arguing that they are inextricably tied to socio-economic issues. It investigates specific socio-economic issues in the first century Graeco-Roman world to shed light on Luke’s message of salvation and explores how salvation of the rich as well as the poor occurs in Luke’s Gospel.
She lives in Manchester with her husband, Eun Ho, who pastors Manchester YeDam Church.
